Six Buckinghamshire Wedding Venues

Six Buckinghamshire Wedding Venues

Being one of Buckinghamshire’s best photo-booth providers, we know a great deal about what the county has to offer in terms of venues. In this blog, we’ll run through six of the best of them – and hopefully provide the inspiration you need to pick one out!

Notley Abbey

This building is among the most desirable venues in the county. It was built in the 12th century, with parts of the kitchen having formed part of a monk’s refectory. But it’s also had quite a glamorous recent history, having been the home of Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh. After a full restoration at the turn of the century, it’s ready to deal with the demands of a modern wedding!

De Vere Latimer Estate

Here we have an 18th century mansion, which offers gorgeous views over a nearby chalk stream in Chess valley. It’s particularly convenient if you’re based in London, being just a five-minute drive from the Chalfont and Latimer station on the Metropolitan line. You might also consider the De Vere Horwood Estate, which is similarly glamorous.

Hedsor House

This Georgian manor comes with a 12th century church just a few hundred metres from the front door – allowing CofE ceremonies to easily move from one location to the other. You’ll hire out the entire place for the duration of the reception – making this a location to really push the boat out.

Holiday Inn Milton Keynes

This recently-refurbished Georgian hotel offers wedding planners a choice of three capacious suites. It’s to be found in Newport Pagnell, just off the M1. This one is a little more on the affordable side – but without compromising on glamour.

Burnham Beeches Hotel

Here’s a brilliant-white Georgian building that looks reliably stunning on a clear summer’s day – but whose carefully-maintained lawns and gardens provide an idyllic location all year round. Again, this setting offers convenience as well as seclusion – it’s just a few minutes from the M40.

Stoke Place

You’ll find this 39-bedroom hotel at the centre of twenty-six acres of parkland. It combines the prestige of a 17th century Queen-Anne mansion with a modern makeover – and packages start from just under eight-grand.

Wherever you decide to hold your wedding, whether it’s inside or outside the county lines, you’ll need the right entertainment – be sure to get in touch to secure yourself a suitable photo-booth!
